Date: January 29th 2026

Members,

With the continued cold weather, please be on the lookout for possible water leaks caused by freezing temperatures. Early detection can help prevent significant damage.

If you notice anything suspicious, please contact LTA staff immediately.

Things to watch for include:

  • Large ice buildup or long icicles forming on siding, gutters, or near foundation walls

  • Water pooling, flowing, or frozen on the ground where it normally would not be

  • The sound of running water when no water should be in use

  • Completely frozen or heavily frosted windows in a neighboring home, especially if the owner is out of town or a seasonal resident

  • Steam or unusual moisture coming from exterior walls or vents

  • Snow melting in one specific area around a home when surrounding areas remain frozen

If you’re unsure whether something is a concern, it’s always better to report it and let staff check it out.

Thank you for helping look out for our community!
