Lake Thunderbird – 2026 Seasonal Lifeguard Positions
Position: Part-Time, Seasonal Beach and Pool Lifeguards
Season Dates: Monday, May 25 – Monday, September 7, 2026
Pay Rate: $16.50–$19.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older

Reliable transportation to and from work

Flexible availability

Weekend availability required

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
(Certification courses provided at no cost to Lake Thunderbird hires)
Position Description
Lifeguards are trained professionals responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of swimmers and patrons at Lake Thunderbird facilities. Duties include overseeing both the beach/lake swimming area and the inground clubhouse pool.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Preventing accidents and enforcing safety rules

Continuous water surveillance and scanning

Performing water rescues
-
Administering CPR, First Aid, AED use, and responding to choking emergencies

Maintaining focus and minimizing distractions while on duty

Representing Lake Thunderbird in a professional manner

Working effectively as part of a team
Lifeguards report directly to the Lake Manager each day.
